Before getting this shaver (through a promotion) I had been using the Philips Spectra 8890XL shaver (the so-called ""James Bond"" shaver), that was the highest of the Philips line some years ago, that at the time was widely reviewed because the best out there electrical shaver, and that retailed for around $200. I had doubts that this shaver, that retails for regarding 0.5 that, may best the one I already had.
In terms of shave, i used to be wrong. Norelco Shavers 8240XL (which is identical is shave to sister models 8250XL and 8251XL) may be a TERRIFIC shaver. With this new shaver, I will shave way more quickly, and it handles the onerous to shave areas (e.g. my neck) with a lot of aplomb. additionally, it is a ton quieter than my previous shaver, and it's lighter!
Outside of the shaving ability, this is often a somewhat vacant bones model. meaning no shaving height adjustment, no digital readout of battery life remaining (just a light-weight that lights solely when you are charging and blinks when the charge is done), and no stand. But
